Review: Played this one
We played this one as the
guests arrived. Very classy music. Worked like a charm!!
Review: A Nice CD
This is a nice CD
It gave us some good ideas.
However the one we used at the wedding was
"Classical Wedding Traditions" (on amazon.com)
This CD gave us a better overall sound and selection.
We also found on amazon.com the "New Wedding Traditions
Volume I" CD for our father/bride and mother/groom songs.
Review: Great For Outdoor Weddings
I had my wedding outside, in a large gazebo, but did not have
the funds to hire a musican to play traditional wedding songs
at my ceremony. I also wanted the traditional "Here Comes
The Bride" with out worring how it would sound for certain
instruments. 'Classical Wedding' was WONDERFUL alternative and
made my outdoor garden wedding spectacular!
Review: A Great CD for Your Wedding
My husband and I had a small elegant wedding (immediate family
only). We wanted "classy" classical music for our
ceremony. There were so many great songs on this CD that we
had trouble choosing which ones to use! We settled on #1 (Hornpipe
from the Water Music) and #16 (the traditional Wedding March).
One would have thought the church was filled with a world-famous
orchestra. I don't think anyone could go wrong with this CD
if you want to use prerecorded classical music at your wedding.
Review: Great Trumpet
The trumpeter on this recording is Gary Armstrong. He is incorrectly
listed as Gray Armstrong. Thank you.
Review: A great CD!
This CD was very helpful for our classical ceremony music.
I really like the musicians and the sound.
For the reception I used the CD "New Wedding Traditions
Volume I" (from amazon.com) That CD had meaningful songs
for our family and friends like "A Song For My Daughter"
for my father bride-dance, "A Song For My Son" for
the mother-groom dance,"A Wedding Thank You" for our
bridal party and "To Our Family and Friends" for everyone.
I am very happy with both of these CDs because they gave me
all the special wedding music I needed.

Review: An Awesome Musical Collection
This CD is my all time favorite collection of classical music
and wedding music. I myself am only 21 but I have played the
violin for 17 years and am simply blown away by the sound quality
and the beauty each song possesses. My favorites are Canon in
D and Ave Maria, and I can not help but close my eyes and simply
get lost in this music.
Review: Thank you , Thank you ,
Thank you
This CD is wonderful, I found all the music for my wedding right
here, and it sounds just like I wanted it to. I certainly recomend
this to any bride looking for classy, beautiful music for thier
wedding!
Review: Absolutely beautiful!
This CD contains such beautiful music! My fiance and I are going
to be married outside on the cliffs overlooking the beach, and
this CD will be perfect for that walk down the aisle. Before
I purchased this album, I practiced "walking down the aisle"
to get a feel for the music with the music samples provided,
and I knew it was the perfect album when it brought tears to
my eyes. It is perfect because it sounds just like an actual
string quartet and trumpet are there in front of you. I am not
normally such a big fan of wedding music because I don't favor
the traditional organs and trumpets and all of that "churchy"
music, but this album is absolutely wonderful! I know that this
will be a CD that I will reach for again and again even after
my wedding for true nostalgia and remembrance. Truly beautiful
music, it is the perfect collection of wedding songs. You will
have to hear for yourself the beauty of the music on this CD.
If you do decide to purchase this album, you will not be disappointed.
Review: Inspirational!
We used selections from this CD for my son's garden wedding
in our back yard on September 8, 2001. The music is so beautiful
I have been listening to it every day since then & was so
inspired by it I have decided to take violin lessons.
Review: Substituted for orchestra
at my wedding
We used the CD in the place of a piano/organ player or orchestra
for our wedding last year. The bridal march and other songs
are simply beautiful and played great on the church sound system.
Sounded like a real live orchestra.
Review: Great for inspiration
I wasn't sure what to choose for my wedding ceremony selections,
so this CD has helped me to narrow my choices considerably.
The combination of strings and trumpet is beautiful. I find
myself listening to it even when not in "wedding"
mode. I highly recommend this for brides that aren't familar
with classical music.
Review: Just Wonderful "moving"
music for wedding!
I am NOT a classic music fan but selection of the music in this
CD is wonderful and beautifully elegantly recorded, appropriate
upbeating with expecting excitement. I am mainly use this music
for my ceremony. I especially love "Fanfare, Bridal Chorus"
which I will use for the processional(how many times in life,
I can get to show with "fanfare"), and "Horn
music" which I will use for the recessional. Some of the
others are good for the prelude, the candle ceremony, and communion.
This CD will take care of all music for the ceremony. I just
love the music!
Review: Perfect!
This CD has a comprehensive selection of classic wedding music,
beautifully arranged and performed. I intend to play it for
background music at my wedding reception along with other classical
CDs. It is also a good selection to keep in mind for music for
the wedding ceremony itself, if you're on a budget and can't
afford an organist or musicians. I would also like mention that
it contains the most achingly lovely interpretation of Pachelbel's
Canon in D that I have ever heard.
Review: Beautiful, Traditional
Collection
This collection was my favorite of all the wedding collection
CDs I bought for my wedding. The performances are all instrumentals
performed mostly by string instruments. Very subtle - perfect
for prelude selections.
Review: Can't Wait to Use this
at my Wedding
I love all the pieces on this CD. I can't wait to use it at
my wedding ceremony. It's also a nice CD to listen to after
a long day at work.
Review: Good recording, with some
minor imperfections
This is basically a string quartet with brass when needed. The
string pieces are all generally very good. The music was studio
recorded, so the sound quality is very real. However, during
many of the brass sections, the mics pic up the musicians taking
breaths, which is annoying. My fiancee and I are thinking about
using recorded music for our ceremony, but the breathing sounds
may prevent using this particular CD. However, for the music
itself, it is still better than a few other wedding CDs we have
heard so far.
Review: This CD was exactly what
I was looking for for my wedding!!!
This CD is awesome!!! Even my now husband who hates classical
music enjoied it on our wedding day. Even now we listen to it
in those quiet special moments. Excellent CD!!! I am so glad
I found it!!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Review: Good selection at affordable price
It's a beatiful opportunity
for selecting (or remembering) the soundtrack at your wedding
ceremony. Some of the recordings are a bit pretentious and may
somehow override the original score, but most are definitely
appreciable. The anthology covers a broad variety of periods
and genders: connoisseurs might want to be more selective.
Review: 25 Wedding Favorite...
As with many compilation CDs 25WF is long on music but short
on musicianship. The performances are dull and lifeless with
little or no attention to the subtleties necessary to perform
these compositions. The recordings are reminiscent of a Jr.
College Orchestra performing late in the day. The sound quality
is thin and hollow which adds to the dreary atmosphere.
An unremarkable set of recordings to be avoided at all costs.
Review: A Very Good CD
We are going to use many of the songs on this CD for our wedding.
The quality is very good.
We also found on amazon.com "A Song For My Daughter"
"A Song For My Son" and "A Wedding Thank You"
all on the New Wedding Traditions Volume I CD.
Thanks Amazon for making our wedding planning much easier.

Review: A Good Source of Ideas
But ...
The best I can say about this CD is that there are many different
styles represented & one can at least get a sense of which
pieces merit further investigation. My overall impression is
that most of the selections are given a heavy-handed treatment(one
might say ultra-formal) or are downright silly--I could swear
I've heard 2 of the tracks in Disney's Electrical Parade. I
don't blame the composer, of course, but the arranger &
compiler. I'm planning my own wedding & found a few ideas
of songs I'd like to hear in *other* versions, but nothing on
this CD sounded like what I wanted to hear at my wedding, let
alone anyone else's. If you have limited exposure to classical
music, or don't know where to begin in planning your wedding
selections, this might be a good place to begin, simply because
of the variety. But I wouldn't recommend it as the source of
your wedding music.
Review: A nice selection
I needed some classical music for my wedding so I pruchased
this CD and it is very nice.
I also purchased "Classical Wedding Traditions" (also
from amazon.com) I really like that CD too.

Review: Fantastic CD
If you love string quartet music rather than chamber orchestra
music, like I do, then this is a wonderful, classy CD to have.
All the selections are fantastic, rather than just a few of
them.
Review" The Best CD for Choosing
Wedding Music!
If you are a couple researching wedding music for your big event,
you won't regret purchasing this wonderful, beautifully-recorded
CD. It is a MUST HAVE recording. It clearly represents what
kind of music you will have at your wedding. The sound is gorgeous,
clear and full, and it contains the standard pieces that string
quartets play at weddings.
While my husband and I were deciding what music to choose for
our wedding, we bought a whole selection of wedding CDs from
Amazon.com. One crucial detail we did not think of before we
bought all these recordings is that we are hiring a string quartet:
not a chamber orchestra, a rock band or a group of electric
keyboard players. Most of the CDs we bought, such as the "Classical
Wedding Traditions" CD (a recording of a chamber orchestra),
were useless. It's not like we will be having the St. Paul Chamber
Orchestra or NY Philharmonic play at our wedding. You can't
ask a string quartet to play orchestra music. You can ask for
some transcriptions, but they generally play music specifically
written for string quartet. The first violinist of the string
quartet we hired highly recommended this CD to us
as a basis of what they enjoy playing at weddings.
Review: Fabulous! Perfect!
This was perfect for deciding what music to have at my wedding,
and then we were able to place the CD at the reception as well!
Review: String Quartet ONLY!
This is an excellent CD to get the feel for a STRING QUARTET.
I would suggest only purchasing it if you need help deciding
what your string quartet will play - and remember a string quartet
sounds LOVELY but is not the same a a single violinist or orchestra.
It's a good buy for VILOIN LOVERS - and If you're like me -
having a STRING QUARTET AT YOUR WEDDING! Good luck!
Review: The perfect shower gift
for the new bride
This CD sounds beautiful. As a bride about to get married it
really helped me pick the repertoire for the string quartet.
Now I have this music as a memory of my wedding. This CD makes
a wonderful gift for bridal showers and for anyone who enjoys
classical music.

Review: A great CD to get for your
wedding...
or if you are just looking for romantic songs. Has some of the
70's love songs, a lot from the 80's and 90's and of course
the wedding march and processional. If you are looking for more
modern songs then this CD might not be for you.
Review: FINALLY! A Wedding CD with the ORIGINAL ARTISTS
singing.
I have searched for days, and its about time someone was smart
enough to put the original version of the song on a collection.
Who wants to hear the "countdown singers" on their
wedding day? NOT ME. I'll enjoy this one.

ARTISTS
This CD was a great help in providing ideas for our wedding
songs. The songs were well chosen and compiled and hearing the
original artists really makes a tremendous difference. This
is a CD that brides to be should not be without!
Review: Has all the songs you'll need for a wedding!!!
We were in a crunch for wedding songs, since what I had originally
wanted was suddenly unavailable. I was thrilled to find a CD
with not only the Traditional Wedding March and the recessional,
but also some great and popular love songs with the original
artists singing them. It is a CD you can listen to anytime,
not just for the wedding. I looked at several wedding CDs and
this one stood out from the others.

Review: Just what i was looking for.
I was looking for some "oldies but goodies"
and this compilation has them all.
Review: Really Nice
This is an overall really nice CD whether used for weddings,
anniversaries, or just cuddling with a sweetie. Easy listening
and some new as well as old favorites. Would highly recommend
it to anyone.
Review: Very nice CD
I purchased this CD for my wedding and enjoyed all the romantic
selections. We used every one of them.
I also purchased New Wedding Traditions Volume I ...
That CD had a great songs for our family and friends like "A
Song For My Daughter" for my father bride dance and "A
Song For My Son" for the mother groom dance "A Wedding
Thank You" for our bridal party "To Our Family and
Friends" for everyone.
These two CDs gave me all the special wedding music I needed.
I am very happy with both of these CDs.
Review: Great CD!
This would be a great cd for a wedding reception or even a romantic
night by candlelight. Great songs! Great price! If you're considering
this cd definitely buy it. You'll be very happy with your purchase.
Review: Simply The Best
I really like this cd. Sometimes I don't like to take a chance
on buying a cd because of the possiblity that I may only like
2 songs. However, on this cd, I liked every song except for
3. This cd is worth it; it is simply the best!
