Review: Pila of Hawaii, you are amazing.,
Dear Pila of Hawaii,
I just finished reading the book, "Secrets
and Mysteries of Hawaii." Its magic has me travelling down
the memory lane of my mystical experiences on the Big Island
which include a few encounters with beings. Your masterpiece
truly resonates with me in that I now constantly feel the pull
to return to Hawaii, just to disrobe and lay spreadeagled on
the beach and invite the ocean to grace my pussy in a song of
serene communion!
The moment I stepped off the plane in Hawaii last
year for an emotional body clearing work, a powerful surge of
land energy shot upward through my feet to my head, in a constant
raging torrent. Heady and befuddled, I sat down with my expanding
heart thumping thickly and wondered what the heck was happening.
It was as though Hawaii gave me a comical metaphysical thwack
to the back of my head, startling me out of my comfy little
box. The sensation diminished but lingered for a long time,
as if to ensure that my newly-altered reality would stay that
way. Stay that way it did, as I found myself letting my long
hair down, going braless in public there which was the opposite
of who I was previously, and becoming intoxicatingly sexually
attracted to someone at my bed-and-breakfast even though I was
(and still am) happily married. Oh, how I reveled in my sensuality!
I shared my airport experience with the B&B
hostess, and she thought the energy was called "aina"
even though she was unsure of the correct spelling. Because
of the conversation, she showed me your red book and emphasized
that I must read it.
Your red book mentioned that unresolved emotions
would percolate to the surface when visitors partook of Hawaii.
You are right on the money. One of my experiences in that regard
was a first-ever screaming confrontation between my dear best
friend and me in a restaurant which was completely, shockingly
out of our character.
To celebrate the tenth year of our marriage, my
husband and I will travel around Hawaii and Oahu to internalize
their enchantment and remember ourselves.
Dearest Pila, many heartfelt thanks for all you
do for the world and beyond. Especially for who you are. You
are amazing. I wish I could just up and fly to Wien and give
you a Sehr Gut hug!
Warm regards, and Aloha,
Carole
Review: Secrets & Mysteries
of Hawaii--the only book I won't loan,
I "stumbled" onto Secrets & Mysteries of Hawaii
on my first trip to the Big island. I couldn't put the book
down...read it in 2 days. I found it confirming of my own experiences
on other islands and other trips to Hawaii; I found it breathtaking
in its descriptions of the energies of the islands and the interconnectedness
with the rest of the earth. I have told many people about it.
I have given copies to people...but my copy never is far from
my side.
If you haven't been to Hawaii and want to know
why it "pulls" so many, this is the book for you.
If you are planning a trip to Hawaii, this is a "must read."
If you have been to Hawaii, and know it is "home,"
this is also a "must read."
Review: The Secrets and Mysteries
of Hawaii
As the author generously shares the agony of his souls journey,
he teaches us not only about the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands,
the locations of the sacred sites where his healing began, but
also of her people and the ancient wisdom of the Huna that is
as relevant today as it was thousands of years before the first
white man left his imprint upon her shores. You don't need to
travel there to experience it all, but you'll want to. Pila
provides the tools, the knowledge, and a map each of us can
read to find our own pathway and to "connect to the real
magic in life." A must read for anyone seeking to find
joy in every moment of their life.

Review: One of the best books I've
ever read
Pila's book is a real calling to the soul. I have owned this
book for seven years and still refer to it often. Pila has a
way of getting to your heart and reminding you of things and
a culture long forgotten. I finished this book in one reading.
It really helped me thru my healing process. I would highly
recommend it to anyone interested in Hawaiian culture &
history or anyone going thru their healing process. Although
I have never been to Hawaii Pila has a way of making you think
you have been there many times before. He also has a lot of
insight into the human psyche. It's jsut such a great book I
can't say enough about it.
Review: Worth reading and rereading!
A variety of thought-provoking views emerge from this well-written
(at times, even lyrical) book. The author lightly weaves his
own life story and journey of awakening into the mystical ingredients
of the Hawaiian Islands. He then correlates the order of the
location of the islands with our own human energy votices, an
intriguing perspective. He also connects these spiritual aspects
with other places on the planets and presents some attractive
techniques for accelerating each person's own journey of awakening.
One of my favorite suggestions was to associate the 'cleaning
up' of one's life with the actual ritual daily used to clean
up our physical environment--really a neat idea. It seems to
work!

Review: This Book is a Gem
So many wonderful reviews about this remarkable book in regards
to its magic, depth and humor have already been written.
I can agree with every single word, any reviewer has stated,
completely.
Thus I would like to point out another special passage of Pila's
guidebook which turned out to be a very touching message for
my personal life. The "Call to the Soul" stepped into
my world coincidentally before I went to Kaua'i, Hawaii, in
order to meet Goddess Pele.
Amongst so many lines full of marvellous depth there were also
these two sentences, since then decorating the wall of my apartment,
saying:
"And all along the way of life there were only the three
things that counted. Something to do, something to look forward
to, and the third one, that blessing, if it ever happens...
someone to share it with."
Each soul has its own yearning, every person is seeking individual
truth.
Many magic things happened since I read this book. And they
led me eventually to Pila's personal "Akashic Life Path
Readings" which definitely saved and changed my own life!
I will reread this book and return to Hawaii soon...
Review: Aloha guide
This guidebook stirred me to my depths, confirmed my feelings
and intuitions about not only this precious and soul-quickening
spot on the earth -Hawaii- but the actual state of mind/heart/being
known as ALOHA. Paradise is truly a state of grace, a higher
calling of the soul and Pila blesses us with his personal experiences
of this grace in his book. Challenging to find elsewhere, he
gives us information directly, and with a pure hearted spirit.
This is a guide to the change of heart necessary to Live Aloha.
It is also a guide to a sacred island that, when you take a
journey to her shores, will change you profoundly, opening your
heart even more widely and unmistakably connect you to your
soul.
Review: Inspiration for a heart's journey- Aloha
state of mind
It is a book about Hawaii. And it is a book about metaphysics
and the vibrations a sensitive person will encounter.
It is not the "ordinary travel companion", for ordinary
vacations of ordinary people. It is about embarking a journey,
an inner one. Extraordinary.
Beautifully written by (Pila Chiles, Pila of Hawai'i),
you will encounter an inspiring transformation of your soul
into the "Aloha state of mind"- not only in Hawaii
but wherever you go and are- here and now.
I highly recommend this book!

Review: Just What I Wanted
This was exactly the book I was looking for. There were many
suggestions of places to visit for specific purposes, interwoven
with Pila's personal experiences and a loving presentation of
what it meant /means to be Hawaiian. I came away with clear
ideas of Hawaiin metaphysics and worldview.
Review: We bought 25 copies for friends!
Would you please tell Pila Chiles that his book "The Secrets
and Mysteries of Hawaii" is a wonderful journey for the
mind and spirit. It gives not only the Aloha flavor, but touches
the soul. We have purchased 25 books to give to our relatives
and friends. If you want to visit Hawaii, this little book is
a MUST!
